Many adults that visit Disney World ride all the rides regardless of the age recommendation. But if kiddie rides aren’t for you, there are plenty of attractions for an older audience. If you plan to visit EPCOT, here are the five best rides for adults. Plus, be sure to explore the World Showcase for food, live music, shopping, exhibits and films from countries around the world.
Living with the Land
Living with the Land is a hidden-gem boat ride in the Land Pavilion. You’ll learn how farming has changed over time and travel through EPCOT’s greenhouses. You’ll see a variety of fruits, vegetables and grains along with fish farms and innovative farming techniques. Be sure to look for the hidden Mickeys and fun seasonal decorations.
Spaceship Earth
Inside EPCOT’s “golf ball” is the Spaceship Earth ride. It’s a classic ride that’s been around since the park opened on October 1, 1982. You’ll travel through time to learn about human communication and major milestones such as the invention of books, telephones, radio and computers. This dark ride is also great for air conditioning, shelter from rain and resting your feet.
Test Track
Test Track is an under-the-radar thrill ride at EPCOT. You’ll design a car and test its capabilities (warning: this is not a smooth ride). The big finish is a thrilling, high-speed ride around an outdoor track. Because of this outdoor component, this ride closes during thunderstorms and when lightning is in the area. Prioritize this ride during good weather or in the morning.
Soarin’ Around the World
To experience traveling around the world, be sure to ride Soarin’. The large theater/ride experience provides the sensation of flying above stunning landscapes and world landmarks. As a bonus, the ride is in the Land Pavilion, which is a great place to be if it rains or you need air conditioning. There are multiple attractions and restaurants to check out, including Garden Grill, which features food from the nearby greenhouses.
Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind
If you like Space Mountain (or thrill rides in general), you’ll love Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind. It’s an indoor roller coaster that’s fast, smooth, dark and full of music and video. One of several upbeat songs plays during the ride, so the experience can feel a bit different based on the music. More reason to ride it more than once!
