With a Disney World park hopper ticket, you can visit multiple theme parks on the same day (even all the Disney theme parks if you’re extra motivated). It’s a great option for making the most of short trips, but the ticket may not be worth the cost in certain situations.
When to Buy a Park Hopper
A Disney World park hopper ticket is a great value in the following situations:
- You’re planning a short trip (1-3 days)
- You plan to spend all or most of the day in the theme parks.
- You want to eat all or most your meals in EPCOT.
- You want to save money — buying just one park hopper ticket for your entire trip is the cheapest option for visiting multiple parks.
- You have been to the theme parks multiple times and have favorite rides and attractions you want to focus on.
- You’re visiting Disney World during a busy time (if the theme park you’re in is too crowded, you can hop to a different park).
When to Not Buy a Park Hopper
We recommend a basic single park ticket if:
- You don’t want to feel rushed.
- You want time to nap or relax at your resort for part of the day.
- You don’t have a full day to spend in the theme parks (or the stamina).
- You don’t want to waste time traveling to and from various parks.
- It is your first visit to one of Disney World’s theme parks.
Other Things to Know
We recommend purchasing your park tickets separate from your hotel stay unless there is a deal or perk related to packaging together your room and ticket. Buying your tickets separately makes it easier to purchase any combination of ticket types.
As one example, you can buy one park hopper, one single park ticket and an event ticket for your trip. Your tickets don’t have to be all park hoppers or all single park tickets.
